Xiaojingwan China Resources University as a benchmark project for Huizhou coastal development
Planning and design by Foster + Partners
The 55,000-square-meter building complex is nestled against the mountains and the sea, extending in layers along the contour lines.
Incorporate 270-degree sea views and red soil landforms into the design
With customized red bricks as the core, it adopts 42+8 mm module system
Ten gradient brick colors are formed through 1200-1300℃ kiln temperature control and color scale adjustment.
Artificial embossing gives natural texture
The warm-toned mortar echoes Lingnan folk houses, and the fair-faced concrete presents a minimalist texture with high-precision craftsmanship.
The components are accurately meshed according to the module
The terrace of the corridor is transitioned through the polished concrete floor, forming a "brick waterfall falling into the mountains and sea" landscape.
The combination of traditional firing technology and parametric design gives the campus both manual warmth and modern precision.
Become a model of educational architecture that integrates regional context and contemporary aesthetics in the Greater Bay Area
